Somali Journalist Tohow Released by Galmudug Authorities

The Somali journalist Mohamed Abdiwali Tohow who was arrested in Dhusomareb town, the capital of Galmudug State of Somalia on 22 September and was sentenced to six months imprisonment by a military court on Sunday 30 September has been released last night.

There was no statement  from Galmudug authorities about the release of the journalist but there has been pressure from local and international press freedom advocates as well as international community who called on Galmudug authorities to free the journalist immediately.
